I forget where I got this idea, too, but it was somewhere on the net. They had used construction paper for the letters, though. I wanted the kids to have a little more ownership in their books and since the Cricut mats don't work too well with construction paper, I decided to have them finger paint cardstock. Then I just cut the letter out of their finger paintings. They turned out really cool because everyone's is different!

Five Senses
I used a Paper Doll cartridge to cut out a large head for each child. We then used Twizzler Pull 'N Peel for the mouth, jingle bells for the ears, googly eyes for the eyes, a sandpaper hand, and a cotton ball sprayed with either Axe or perfume for the nose. The kids loved them! I got this idea from somewhere on the net. I'm going to go back and try to figure out where so I can give credit. :)

Super Helpers!
This is my helper job chart. I made each child a superhero using the Paper Doll Dress Up Cricut cartridge. They love them! I made them at 4 1/2 inches and used Peachy Keen stamps for their faces. The POW signs are on the same cartridge. I made them at 5 1/2 inches and then used MTC software to spell out each child's name and to put their first initial on their doll. I made the big POW sign using the fit to page function of a 12 X 12 scrapbook page. The I laminated them! The job signs are free at www.eichild.com. You have to make an account and then they can be found under Resources.

Personalized Chair
This is a chair that I got at Wal-Mart. My nephew loves Blues Clues! I used the Make the Cut software to cut pixel trace an image of Blue and then cut it out on vinyl. I drew the eyes on with a Sharpie. I also put his name on it. This project doesn't really serve a purpose, but it turned out cute!

Welcome to my blog!
After completing many Google searches looking for blogs/websites with centered around classroom materials made with the Cricut and finding very few, I decided to make my own. This is my first attenpt at blogging so we'll see how it goes. To start things off, here is a character that my assistant and I made to go along with a book. We used Paper Doll Dress Up. The possibilities are endless with the book characters that you can make!
